Last week Rachel and Karen were on fall break so we went camping at Woods Canyon Lake. It was a little chilly for us, but not too bad. Autumn had fun getting out of the sleeping bag, get cold, say "cold", laugh and jump back in. She normally won't sleep with blankets so she thought the cold was fun and actually used the blankets. She also got her first taste of hot cocoa. The older girls had to get a hammock and Autumn had fun with it too. She even took a nap in it. The girls got a little bored with two nights of camping, but pasted the time by NOT multitasking. They figured they had plenty of time, so no eating sandwiches and playing a game. You ate, then you played. Rachel made a peach cobbler and Karen made the fire. They both took time to make a toilet in the woods. Autumn enjoyed the woods. She loved the moss and picked it up. She looked for acorns and her and Jack would lift rocks to see the bugs under them. She loved walking the logs and standing on tree stumps. But she really loved the embankments. She thought she could just go running down them and would throw a fit to go down. It was kinda scary because there were some big embankments. We did find a small one and she walked herself, didn't want help even falling twice.

Autumn found a tree stump chair and thought it was hers. She pushed Rachel and Karen off of her chair.

Autumn had her own potty in camp.

Daddy and his girls. Autumn walked into a tree and skinned her chin and cheek. Just one of the bumps she received.

Karen makes a good fire.

There was a path about a mile long that took you to the lake and Autumn thought she had to carry these big rocks down. It took us a while to walk.

Autumn and dad finding bugs, flowers and rocks. The forest was a playgound for her, rocks to climb!
