Rachel Marili

Rachel was born 17 years ago today. She was named after two of her grandmas. Great Grandma Shugart, Alice Rachel, and Grandma Marili. The night before she was born I had eaten a big pile of spaghetti and a salad and ran around and around in our pool. I woke up the next morning and called grandma Marili to come down, she was going to watch Kyle. We headed to the hospital, and since we had not done a tour of the place and they had done some remodeling since Kyle was born, we were not sure where to park. Jack dropped me off at the curb and went to go park. I headed inside and went into the elevator to go up to the maternity floor and made some stranger very uncomfortable when I had a contraction while standing in the elevator. We ended up being sent home and returned a few hours later. Rachel was born in the evening. I couldn't believe she had no hair, with all the heart burn I had had. Grandma came with Kyle to see his new sister and was so happy.
Rachel's favorite food now is spaghetti. She eventually grew some hair. When she was little I could never get her to keep a bow in her hair and now she takes a long time to do her hair. Rachel's favorite holiday is her birthday. I think every year the day after her birthday she starts counting down to her next birthday. When she was four she did this and everyday would ask how many more days"250 Rachel" "249". So it was pretty funny when we were able to throw her a surprise party for her 5th birthday, I guess the count down must have been off a day. Rachel use to be a daddy's girl. Every time she got in trouble by me she would cry"I want my daddy". She went on some hunting/fishing trips with Jack and had fun playing with Kyle and Trent. Of course now any camping/fishing trips turn into photo shoots.

I sure didn't imagine when Rachel would be driving and a senior in high school! Wow seventeen years went by fast! Happy Birthday Rachel!

cheese head the story

Autumn has been using her food as hair conditioner lately, today she used cottage cheese with pineapple. She is the silliest girl. She is talking allot and using 3 word sentences. She says crazy animal, wild beast and apple juice. The girls think that it is the cutest to hear her say apple juice.
One day Autumn had a grape tomato in each fist and was smashing them together and telling Jack "no daddy no shoes", because as she was smashing them she was doing the shoe sign. She also decided when I came home from the store that the bread needed a hug. Now she will say "no hug bread".

What a mess!

July 3rd game

Eating a hot dog, well actually bun and relish.
Fireworks and Autumn wasn't scared, they were pretty loud.

Randy Johnson, one big unit! Autumn was kinda shy about these BOB heads, but for some reason she kept calling Matt Williams daddy.

A new place to play

There is a park close by us that Autumn found fun. Not only is there slides and rocks to climb but there is an irragation ditch that runs next to it and she figured out how much fun it is to throw rocks into it. She started out with small rocks, but as we were leaving she found a BIG rock to throw! We would have been there all morning with her finding rocks but it was pretty hot, even at 8:00 in the morning.
